The complete rules
How to play
Get all 15 checkers into your home board and bear them off. First to finish wins.
Home and direction
Your home is the six points at the lower right (1–6). You run anti-clockwise. The opponent runs the other way — you meet on the same points, you never travel the same direction.
Dice
Two dice are two separate moves. Doubles are played four times. You cannot land on a closed point (two or more opposing checkers).
Hitting and the bar
A blot (one checker) is hit and sits on the bar. You re-enter before anything else, onto an open point in the opponent's home, matching a die.
Bearing off
Once every checker is in your home, you bear off. A die that matches a point takes that checker off; otherwise play from further back.
