BlueConvert — Privacy Policy

Privacy policy for the BlueConvert unit converter and calculator app.

BlueConvert is a unit converter and calculator app developed by BlueLogic Software (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.

BlueConvert works entirely on your device. Your conversion history, preferences, and calculator data are stored locally on your device only and are never sent to our servers or any third party.

2. Third-Party Services

Our app uses the following third-party services that may collect information:

Advertising partners

BlueConvert shows banner ads. Ads are selected through Unity LevelPlay (Unity / ironSource), an ad mediation service that runs an automated auction among the ad networks listed below; the network that wins shows the ad. Each partner processes data under its own privacy policy. Depending on your consent and device settings, they may collect:

  • device identifiers, such as the resettable advertising ID;
  • approximate location derived from your IP address (the app does not request location permission);
  • technical data (device model, operating system and app version) and diagnostic or performance data;
  • information about other apps installed on your device, used for fraud prevention and ad relevance;
  • in-app purchase activity (for example, whether a purchase was made), used for ad measurement;
  • ad interaction data (which ads were shown and whether they were tapped).

We do not receive this data ourselves.

Pro users do not see any ads.

Google Play Billing

  • If you purchase the Pro version, the transaction is processed entirely by Google Play.
  • We do not receive or store your payment information (credit card number, billing address, etc.).

For users located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we display a consent dialog compliant with the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF) v2.2, shown with Google’s User Messaging Platform, before any personalized advertising is loaded. Your choices are passed to Unity LevelPlay and the ad networks listed above.

What you consent to: Processing of personal data (including device identifiers, approximate location, and interaction data) by our advertising partners listed above and the vendors shown in the dialog, for personalized advertising, ad measurement, and audience insights.

Where your choices are stored: Your consent selections are stored on your device using the IAB-standard IABTCF_* keys in the app’s local storage. These selections remain valid for up to 390 days and are overwritten whenever you make new privacy choices in this app.

How to change or withdraw your consent: Open the app, tap Settings → Preferences → Privacy Settings. This opens the same consent dialog you saw on first launch, where you can update or fully withdraw your choices at any time.

If you decline personalized advertising, ads may still be shown but will be contextual (non-personalized) and not based on your profile.

Tracking permission (iOS)

On iOS, the app asks for permission to track using Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you allow it, your device’s advertising identifier may be used to show ads matched to your interests. If you decline, the app continues to work exactly the same and ads are shown without personalisation — nothing further is asked of you. On devices where a consent dialog is also required (EEA, UK, Switzerland), that dialog is shown before the tracking prompt. You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

3. Data Storage

All app data (recent conversions, settings, calculator history) is stored locally on your device. This data is:

  • Never transmitted to external servers
  • Never shared with third parties
  • Deleted when you uninstall the app or clear app data

4. Children’s Privacy

BlueConvert is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since we do not collect any personal data from any user, this requirement is inherently met.

5. Permissions

BlueConvert requires internet access only for:

  • Displaying advertisements (free version)
  • Processing in-app purchases

On Android, the app also declares the advertising ID permission, which lets our advertising partners read your resettable advertising ID. You can reset or delete it in your device settings.

No other device permissions are required. We do not access your camera, contacts, location, microphone, or files.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
